"I Am not opposed" "I am not opposed", were the words I heard inside me this morning. "I am not opposed...to anything." And in a flash I saw a whole scenario of how energy moves or how it gets stopped and dissipated. I saw how water is a perfect example of not opposing anything, of how not to be against anything, how not to fight anything, now not to struggle, work, effort...but to flow, to relax, to enjoy the movement itself, the changing scenery passing by. I saw how when I oppose something, when I fight something, that friction occurs. I set something up against whatever is presenting itself. Like two metal plates. Then the two sides rub against each other and "heat" occurs, and the energy is dissipated, lost. "Heat" of the Mind occurs. Heat of thinking, of strategy, of arguing, of trying to convince, of trying to change, trying to push. And if the other person has no intention of hearing, changing, being open, then the heat is wasted, the energy goes nowhere. It just wears both sides down and energy is lost. I saw how water moves around the rocks, over the riverbed, around the bend. It is absolutely liquid, soft, silky, smooth. It doesn't stop and fight the rocks. It glides over and around them, it caresses them, leaves a gentle touch, and continues on it's journey. Water is unstoppable. It will find it's way back to the ocean. A dam just temporarily holds some of it back, there is still a constant flow of water out of the dam. Or if it is completely stopped it will flow over the top and continue on its way. Or evaporate, "ascend". The water "ascends" into the air, rises up, gets airborne, light, and moves on, collecting later to "fall" back to earth somewhere else on another journey. Yet impenetrable and indestructible. You can't penetrate water. No matter how small you make it, it stays together. It still stays water. If you boil it, it just evaporates and actually gets purified in the process, and collects somewhere else. Boiling the water dissipates all the "impurities" that have gotten mixed in with the water. As I'm writing this, a rain has started. It doesn't rain that much here in Phoenix, but now there is a heavy downpour. I can feel shivers running up and down in my body, I can feel the cleansing the rain brings. I can feel years of resisting rain, when I lived in different climates where rain signified cold, dull, gray days. Wet, damp, something to fight against days. I don't feel that now. Here in Phoenix people fight the heat. I have found that when I relax into this "allowing" space of not fighting, not opposing anything that the physical heat here in Phoenix (120 degrees) is no problem. I actually feel a physical cooling coming from my center in my solar plexus and then the heat doesn't drain me or make me uncomfortable. And in the cold, this same center in my solar plexus warms me. "I am not opposed...to anything", I heard Love tell me. And I saw how when not being opposed to anything, not fighting anything, that this Love is freed up to move everywhere and anywhere. It was free, it was liquid, like the water, and was unstoppable, could move everywhere and "dissolve", vaporize when it needed to get free of a situation. I saw how not opposing anything allows those things that present themselves in our lives to move, to not get stuck. We assist those things, or people, that set themselves against us, by being liquid and not opposing them back. They then have nothing to fight, no "heat" develops. People who want this "friction" in their lives will move on and find others engaged in the same game. You will not appear on their radar screen when you stop opposing them. You will be free to move on, move like the liquid water. "I am not opposed". I also heard it as God/Love saying that s/he finds no-one, no-where, no-thing opposing him/her. Everywhere God goes s/he is not opposed because there is nothing in God that opposes the Creation. The creation simply Is, whatever it is. God simply says yes, simply embraces whatever presents itself. "What you embrace you erase, what you resist persists". Opposed...Oppo-sites...opposing creates the game of opposites. Without opposing you can play beyond the duality, beyond the ying and yang. This is the space of miracles, this is where you and your partner can't remember what you were fighting about and you fall on the floor laughing. This is where there is miraculously money showing up from "now-here", this is where you don't have gas in the car yet travel 200 miles somehow, this is where people who are suing you mysteriously fade away, this is where that leak from under your car stops, this is where people call you because they saw your website that you don't have, this is where your angels can give to you, this is where you feel safe to love others, this is where you walk in the worlds of big money and feel completely free, this is where you and God can start to play with each other again. ------------------------------- "Appreciating" Nature a Message from Mother Earth After a day by Oak Creek in Sedona, sitting in a chair with my feet in the water, hopping on the rocks, sharing blackberries with a skunk, swimming, I received a message from what felt like Mother Earth herself about an easy way to heal ourselves and the planet. The word Appreciate according to Webster's new universal unabridged dictionary means: 1. to value, to esteem... 2. to recognize gratefully... 3. to increase the price... 4. to be fully or sensitively aware... Shamans use a technique called "gazing" to expand themselves and connect with deeper aspects of the world around us. This happens naturally whenever we slow down and enter the "Be still and know that I am God" space. Most of us naturally do this as kids, often while playing in nature, when we get absorbed in something that fully captures our attention and we become one with it, merge with it. Patanjali, the 11th century mystic - saint called this "making samyana" on an object in his sutras, to become one - merged with something and yogic powers would then open up with perfect attention - merging. As I sat and de-focused my attention while looking at the stream, I saw how when we love-"appreciate"-feel gratitude for Nature, we actually lift it up. Our love-gratitude-appreciation energy actually infuses the plants, rocks, water, the very air around us. We feed them with our Love (God's Love). We are the God seeds, we are the "made in God's image" creatures that can be the vehicles for Divine energy. "The seed of God is in us....Pear seeds grow into pear trees, hazel seeds into hazel trees, and God seeds into God." --Meister Eckhardt The plants, rocks, water around us get "excited" by our love. The same way an electron gets excited by heat energy and speeds up. Love is the highest energy form in the created universe, it excites everything. The plants, rocks, water, the air - subtle ether feed off of our Love, they want to play with us, they want to share, dance, exchange energy with us. When we give them our attention they notice, when we give them our love they dance. And then they automatically want to give back to us in the form(s) of beauty they create. Nature is the most chaotic, rambunctious, dis-organized system there is. Look at the fallen logs, the leaves, the "dirt", the plants trying to grow through rocks, the rains washing "away" the earth etc. Yet there is a perfect Order running through-out all of it. We instinctively are awed by Nature's grandeur and beauty. We feel the majesty of the creative force just behind the vista of Nature. Mother Earth said to me: " There is no 'work' involved with 'appreciating' Me. Just come out into my spaces and Love me, enjoy me, drink me, breathe me, sense me. It will fill you back up. And you will 'save' Me as well. Your Love for the trees, the streams, the rocks, the animals will feed them and keep them safe. Your appreciation of me will 'appreciate' me, will lift me up in vibratory rate, will strenghten me and I will be able to give you my beauty and love back." "One feels as if one is dissolved, merged into Nature" Albert Einstein |
